Overall, there are 6 subjects to be studied during the first semester which are 

MAT 501: Corporate Communication

MAT 601: Adventure Tourism Operation and Management

MAT 503: Contemporary Tourism Development

MAT 603: Global Mountain and Mountaineering

MAT 506: Economics of Tourism

Corporate Communication

With 48 Lecture Hours and 3 credit hours, it consists of  6 learning units that focus to develop strong communication skills for the scholars.

Adventure Tourism Operation and Management

Consisting of 8 learning units with 48 lecture hours and 3 credit hours, it fosters the knowledge of smooth management and operation of Adventure Tourism.

Contemporary Tourism Development

Having Credit hours 3 and lecture hours 48 helps to grasp the theory and trend of Tourism to the scholars.

Global Mountain and Mountaineering

Aiming to be aware of global mountains, bestowing credit hours 3 and lecture hours 48, helps to recognize the scenario of global mountaineering.

Economics of Tourism

Getting dive into the economical part, providing 48 lecture hours and 3 credit hours, makes familiar with the economical terms required for tourism.

Curriculum Development Center, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur has issued syllabi of all subjects including Tourism and Mountaineering Studies in 2076 B.S for both Grades 11 and 12. Previously, this course was Travel and Tourism abbreviated as TT which is thoroughly revised and updated, and now it is commonly known as TMS.
